Annus Mirabilis Syndicate Celebrates Landmark 100th Victory at Dundalk Stadium

The highly-fancied How About No, supported by trainer Joseph O'Brien, secured a significant milestone on Friday as it clinched the DundalkStadium.com Maiden at Dundalk.

Under the guidance of jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle, the syndicate notched up their 100th win with an impressive performance.

Before triumphing on How About No at odds of 4/9f (morning price 6/4), Browne McMonagle had earlier tasted success aboard Ohailbhic, trained by Johnny Feane. How About No, positioned prominently throughout the race, eventually outpaced its nearest challenger, Sea Wave (11/4), crossing the finish line with a 1.25-length lead.

Donal O'Mahoney, a member of the 14-person syndicate, expressed gratitude to Joseph O'Brien for the achievement, stating that their longstanding partnership had finally borne fruit. O'Mahoney highlighted the careful selection of How About No as the key contender for their coveted milestone, marking it as their 30th victory at Dundalk.

Reflecting on their collaboration with the O'Briens, O'Mahoney acknowledged their respect for the renowned family in the racing world. He shared insights into their strategic approach of allocating ownership between owned and leased horses, noting their impressive 15% strike rate and the privilege of working closely with the O'Brien team.

Regarding How About No's performance, O'Brien's representative Sean Corby commended the horse's progress since its debut, praising its resilience and stamina. Highlighting the significance of the win for the syndicate, Corby expressed delight and optimism for the future, confident in the horse's ongoing development under their guidance.
