Anmaat is set to target the Prix Dollar

Owen Burrows' Anmaat is set to target the Prix Dollar after opting out of the Irish Champion Stakes. The six-year-old made a strong return from a 439-day absence, winning the Rose of Lancaster Stakes at Haydock in early August.

Anmaat, a talented horse with a history of success—including a prior victory in the Rose of Lancaster, the Group One Prix d’Ispahan, and the 2022 Prix Dollar—will head to Longchamp in October for the Prix Dollar.

Burrows explained, "That’s the plan for him, and if all goes well, he could then aim for the Champion Stakes on Qipco British Champions Day."

He added that they felt the Irish Champion Stakes would be too challenging at this stage, opting instead for a Group Two race to build confidence before potentially stepping up to the Group One level again. Burrows is optimistic about Anmaat’s current form and hopes he can maintain it leading up to the Prix Dollar.
