Al Qareem's next possible race is the Goodwood Cup
Al Qareem, trained by Karl Burke, is considering the Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup Stakes as his next possible race after finishing as a runner-up at York. The five-year-old has been a consistent performer over longer distances and put in a fine effort at the Silver Cup at York's Knavesmire.
Instead of racing in Ireland this weekend, Al Qareem's team is planning for a race at the end of the month. One option being considered is stretching out to two miles for the Goodwood Cup on July 30. Despite the challenge posed by Gold Cup winner Kyprios, connections are aiming for a good finish to secure a share of the prize money.
Nick Bradley, owner of the horse, mentioned that there are multiple race options available in France and England for Al Qareem. Although he came up short at York, the team is optimistic about his performance and is focused on maximising prize money in upcoming races.
Ultimately, the decision on which race to enter will depend on ground conditions and other factors, but the team is looking forward to seeing Al Qareem compete in the upcoming weeks.
