Harry Charlton is supporting Time Lock to add a touch of stardom to his team as he gets ready for his inaugural summer as the only licence holder at Beckhampton.
Since 2022, the father-son duo, who have been partners in the horse racing industry, have been working together to maximise their chances of success. They had high hopes for the Thesis at Royal Ascot that summer and had a remarkable season with Time Lock.
The offspring of Frankel secured a commanding victory in the Group Three Princess Royal Stakes at Newmarket in September, under the joint cooperation.
Following two successful seasons of collaboration, Roger Charlton decided to step back from his role at the end of 2023, giving his son the opportunity to take complete charge at their Wiltshire headquarters.
Anticipating the start of the new turf season, the top trainer at Beckhampton is optimistic about the performance of their prized horse, Time Lock. The Jockey Club Stakes on May 3, held at the Rowley Mile, is expected to be the first race for the five-year-old, owned by Juddmonte.
"We're filled with anticipation and on the verge of beginning," Charlton exclaimed.
We're hoping for clear skies and a strong lineup of athletes to bring home some impressive victories.
"We also have a fantastic group of young horses, which is incredibly thrilling. The upcoming month or two will reveal just how thrilling it is, and we are eagerly anticipating the start."
