Wathnan Racing has expanded its team for Royal Ascot by acquiring Prix du Jockey Club runner-up, First Look. Trained by Andre Fabre, the son of Lope De Vega, finished second to Look De Vega at Chantilly. Before that, he also finished second at Chantilly behind Darlinghurst, a strong contender for the St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Fabre, a highly successful trainer with seven Royal Ascot winners to his name, most recently won the Jersey Stakes in 2016 with Le Brivido. Richard Brown, the racing adviser for Wathnan Racing, mentioned that Fabre is pleased with First Look's performance and is considering entering him in the Hampton Court race at the end of next week.
