Varian strategizing a course for King Of Steel at Royal Ascot

The Prince of Wales's Stakes is the primary target for King Of Steel during the first part of the new Flat season. Roger Varian plans to have him participate in one race before attempting to secure a second victory at Royal Ascot.

King Of Steel excelled at the Berkshire venue during his previous season, achieving both of his wins there. After a valiant second-place finish to Auguste Rodin in the Derby, he went on to triumph in the King Edward VII Stakes at the Royal meeting. Although he had to settle for third place in the King George when returning to Berkshire in July, he ultimately emerged victorious on British Champions Day.

Owned by Amo Racing, this colt concluded his campaign with a fifth-place finish in the Breeders' Cup Turf at Santa Anita. Following a well-deserved winter break, he is now back at Carlburg Stables, preparing for the upcoming season.
