Henderson Manages Jonbon Ahead of Rescheduled Clarence House Chase

Nicky Henderson is the trainer of the racehorse Jonbon. He referred to Jonbon as unpredictable in the lead-up to the Clarence House Chase, which was rescheduled at Cheltenham. Jonbon was initially set to compete against rival El Fabiolo at Ascot. Still, due to weather conditions, the organizers moved the race. El Fabiolo will not participate in the new race. Henderson has been managing Jonbon's training to maintain his performance level.

💡
The Clarence House Chase is a prestigious Grade 1 National Hunt steeplechase in Great Britain. The Ascot Racecourse holds it annually in January. The racecourse covers approximately 2 miles and 1 furlong (3,371 meters).

Jonbon, owned by JP McManus, has a strong record in hurdle races and chasing. His only defeat over fences was to El Fabiolo in the Arkle. Jonbon has performed well this season in the Shloer Chase and Tingle Creek. He is currently a strong contender for the Champion Chase.

The rescheduled Clarence House Chase at Cheltenham offers a larger prize pool than last year. It may see Jonbon competing against other notable horses, like Editeur Du Gite and Elixir De Nutz. El Fabiolo is set to compete in the Ladbrokes Dublin Chase instead.
