Trainer Menuisier Eyes U.S. Campaign for Sirona Next Season

Consistent filly Sirona, trained by David Menuisier, may expand her horizons next season, potentially targeting the American racing scene after a successful year capped by a strong second-place finish in the Prix Perth at Saint-Cloud.

Owned by Dash Grange Stud, the Soldier Hollow filly had a breakout season, starting with a close second in the Group Three Chartwell Fillies' Stakes at Lingfield in May. Following this, she placed second in the John of Gaunt Stakes, and impressed at Group One level with a fifth-place run in the Falmouth at Newmarket. Her only off-day came with a sixth-place finish in the Valiant Stakes at Ascot, attributed to an unfavourable draw. However, she quickly rebounded with a near win in the Prix de la Cochere, followed by a Listed victory in Newmarket's Rosemary Stakes.

An injury kept her out of the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, but she bounced back with her strong Prix Perth showing. "She’s been incredible this season, competing well on any ground against any opposition," said Menuisier.

Planning ahead, Menuisier believes Sirona would excel in the U.S. racing environment. “The American pace could really suit her style. She has speed and a keen running style, and I think it would be the right step for her next season,” he said, hinting at an exciting campaign stateside in the near future.
