An Irish Oaks rematch is set for York on Thursday, with You Got To Me and Content both declared for the Pertemps Network Yorkshire Oaks.
You Got To Me, trained by Ralph Beckett, secured her first top-level win at the Curragh, holding off Aidan O’Brien’s Content, who was beaten by less than a length and has been added to this 12-furlong race.
They are key contenders from the Classic generation, alongside Ribblesdale one-two Port Fairy (O’Brien) and Lava Stream (David O'Meara).
In the older division, John and Thady Gosden will field Emily Upjohn, a regular in Group One races, and the promising Queen Of The Pride, who steps up to this level for the first time.
William Haggas’ Sea Theme, a Galtres Stakes winner last year, will make her Group One debut, while Hughie Morrison’s Aphrodite Fillies’ Stakes winner Mistral Star completes the eight-runner field.
In the Sky Bet Lowther Stakes, Royal Ascot winner Leovanni leads a strong field of nine. Trainer Karl Burke also fields Unspoken Love and Miss Lamai, while Princess Margaret Stakes second and third, Betty Clover (Eve Johnson Houghton) and Tales Of The Heart (Beckett), have seen their Ascot form enhanced by Simmering’s recent win in France. Aidan O’Brien’s Ballyhane Stakes victor Heavens Gate is the only Irish runner.
