The charity hurling match is set for August 12th

Hurling for Cancer Research is coming back to Netwatch Cullen Park in Carlow on August 12th with a lineup of stars from the worlds of racing, GAA, and sports personalities set to take part in this charity hurling match in support of cancer research programs.

Started in 2011 by racehorse trainer Jim Bolger and jockey Davy Russell, Hurling for Cancer Research has become a favourite among hurling fans across Ireland. Over the years, it has raised E1.5 million for cancer research, giving hope to patients by funding groundbreaking trials and research projects.

This year's event will feature players like Paudie Clifford, TJ Reid, Rachael Blackmore, Con O’Callaghan, Ciarán Kilkenny, Ursula Jacob, and Cora Staunton. The support from the racing, hurling, and sports community has been overwhelming and greatly appreciated.

Jim Bolger expressed his gratitude for the continued support and generosity of everyone involved in making the event a success. The Irish Cancer Society CEO, Averil Power, also thanked Jim and Davy for their hard work in organising such a star-studded event that raises vital funds for cancer research in Ireland.
