“The best is yet to come”, Jerome Reynier

Jerome Reynier eyes the Juddmonte International as a potential lead-up to the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe for Zarakem following his strong performance at Royal Ascot. Despite being a 33-1 outsider in the Prince of Wales’s Stakes, Zarakem impressed with a second-place finish behind Auguste Rodin.

Reynier praised jockey Maxime Guyon's flawless ride, acknowledging Auguste Rodin's dominance while highlighting Zarakem's versatility and athleticism. The four-year-old's next target is Europe’s premier middle-distance race at ParisLongchamp in October, with a possible prep race at York's Juddmonte International in late August.

Reynier noted Zarakem's mental and physical improvement, expressing optimism about his chances in the Arc. With plans to keep his races spaced out, Reynier aims to keep Zarakem fresh for potential future targets like the Japan Cup or Hong Kong Vase after the Arc.
