William Buick gave Shadow Of Light, a regally-bred colt, a rating of "a solid eight out of 10" after their winning debut at Yarmouth.
The two-year-old is closely related to Earthlight, a successful horse trained by Andre Fabre. While Earthlight's sire was Shamardal, Shadow Of Light's sire is Lope De Vega, showing signs of similar talent.
Buick guided Shadow Of Light to victory in the Weatherbys EBF Maiden Stakes, with the colt quickening up smartly to win as the favourite.
Buick praised the horse's willingness and ability to race, giving him a solid rating for his performance. Shadow Of Light is expected to improve with more experience on the track.
