Rosallion, the Group One winner trained by Richard Hannon, is bound for the Qipco 2000 Guineas.
The Blue Point horse is a best-priced 6-1 second-favourite behind City Of Troy in the Newmarket Classic, and Hannon and owner Sheikh Mohammed Obaid had been debating whether to enter a trial.
On his website, www.richard hannon racing.co.uk, Hannon stated, "We have made the call that Rosallion will not have a prep run and will head straight to the 2000 Guineas in May due to the unbelievable amount of rain we have had over the past few months."
"It's been a difficult choice for me and his owner, Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum, but a run now would be too difficult for him to recover from in just two weeks, given how challenging the ground is right now.
"Rosallion has been playing really well at home, and he has looked excellent on the two away days we have given him so far. He is in good health, and we have faith that he will be prepared to take a chance when he arrives in Newmarket.
