Richardson is confident about Inspiral's chances in Prince of Wales's

Chris Richardson is optimistic about Inspiral's chances of bouncing back from her disappointing performance in the Lockinge Stakes with a strong showing in the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Despite being the favourite at Newbury, Inspiral finished fourth behind stablemate Audience. Both trainer John Gosden and jockey Kieran Shoemark believe that she needed the run and are expecting a much better performance at Royal Ascot, where she will be competing over 10 furlongs instead of her initial target of the Queen Anne over a mile.

Richardson, the managing director of Cheveley Park Stud, is looking forward to seeing how Inspiral performs. He acknowledges that it will be a tough race, with Auguste Rodin as the favourite, but is excited about the competition.

Meanwhile, Maurizio Guarnieri is hopeful that Blue Rose Cen will deliver a strong performance in the Prince of Wales's Stakes after finishing fifth in the Prix d'Ispahan at ParisLongchamp in her seasonal debut.

Trainer Aidan O'Brien is optimistic that better ground conditions will benefit last year's dual Derby winner, Auguste Rodin, as he looks to bounce back from a disappointing run in the Tattersalls Gold Cup.

French raider Zarakem, trained by Jerome Reynier, aims to put a lacklustre performance in the Prix Ganay behind him and is looking to impress at Royal Ascot.

Although White Birch has been withdrawn due to an imperfect blood test, other contenders such as Horizon Dore, Alflaila, Royal Rhyme, Lord North, Hans Andersen, and Snobbish are all set to compete in the Prince of Wales's Stakes.
