Corbetts Cross, priced at 15-8 with Derek O’Connor in the saddle, showcased superior performance throughout the event.
Initially allowing Mr Vango and Gina Andrews to set the pace, the chestnut steadily gained ground as the race progressed. Climbing the hill, Corbetts Cross effortlessly surged ahead, leaving Patrick Mullins and Embassy Gardens (7-4 favourite) trailing by 17 lengths.
The accomplished horseman, son of esteemed horse transporter George Mullins, expressed gratitude for the prestigious race dedication by the Jockey Club. Mullins acknowledged the significance of winning the race named after his grandmother.
