A record-breaking number of 180 trainers have registered to participate in the 2024 edition of the Racing League, marking a significant increase of 34 per cent compared to last year.
Renowned trainers John and Thady Gosden will once again be involved, alongside newcomers Charlie Johnston and Archie Watson, who will bring additional strength to Team Scotland.
Last year's champions, Ireland, have made an exciting new signing with Johnny Murtagh joining their ranks. London & The South have secured the services of Andrew Balding and Roger Teal.
Richard Fahey, an ardent supporter of the concept, will once more be part of The North team. Meanwhile, John and Sean Quinn have been signed as marquee additions for Yorkshire.
More than 120 jockeys have expressed their interest, and the official draft will be announced on Saturday.
Six out of the seven team managers will retain their positions, with the only change occurring in The East. With Frankie Dettori now in America, reality TV personality Chris Hughes has taken over as the new manager.
Hughes said: “I’m really looking forward to being part of Racing League this year, it’s going to be fun! Having seen who’s on my team I have to fancy our chances of winning.”
