Poet Master triumphed finishing nearly four lengths ahead of second at Curragh

British raider Poet Master was too strong for the competition in the Romanised Minstrel Stakes at the Curragh, beating out the home contingent. Trained by Karl Burke, the talented horse had previously won three out of four starts last season and continued his success this season with a victory at Newmarket's Craven meeting.

After a disappointing fifth-place finish as the favourite in the Spring Trophy at Haydock, Poet Master travelled to Ireland for redemption. Under jockey Sam James, the son of Lope De Vega showed great speed and acceleration in the seven-furlong Group Two race, finishing nearly four lengths ahead of second-place finisher Lord Massusus.

James commented on the horse's performance, noting his maturity and potential for even greater success in the future. Burke, who watched the race from Redcar, praised Poet Master's impressive win and credited his recovery efforts for the horse's improved performance.
