Plumpton Festival is all about champions, both on and off the track

Plumpton Racecourse once again provided a memorable Easter weekend.

The course hosted its yearly Easter Festival, attracting over 9,000 race enthusiasts from various locations for a weekend of exhilarating races and enjoyable activities for the whole family, as reported by Emily Gailey.

Plumpton's Easter Festival was an accurate display of top-notch racing prowess, featuring a Premier Raceday that attracted not only local participants but also horses, jockeys, and trainers from distant places. Everyone was eager to claim a share of the impressive £200,000 prize pool.

Plumpton went the extra mile to create an unforgettable weekend for families, not just focusing on the racing.

With a wide range of activities like face-painting, donkey rides, inflatables, and petting zoos, entertainment options were abundant for people of all ages to delight in.

Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to interact with retired racehorses and listen to captivating stories of their racing glory at the retired racehorse stable.

The event combined high-quality horse racing with enjoyable activities for all ages and a delightful touch of Easter cheer.

Chris Gordon had an impressive performance on Sunday, securing three victories out of the seven races. One of his notable wins was in the £75,000 feature race, The BetGoodwin Sussex Champion Hurdle Handicap Hurdle, where Our Champ surged ahead with the help of Rex Dingle.
