Royal Ascot winner Pledgeofallegiance may not run in the Jenningsbet Northumberland Plate Handicap at Newcastle despite being a favourite. Trainer Prescott expressed doubts about the horse's participation due to his recent Ascot race. However, nothing is confirmed yet.
Prescott also has Trooper Bisdee and True Legend as potential runners in the race. Trooper Bisdee won two races recently and could run if his penalty allows, while True Legend is also being considered.
A total of 50 horses are confirmed for the race including Zoffee, Alphonse Le Grande, Firstman, Belgoprince, En Or, and Prydwen. The latter ran in the Gold Cup and might participate in the Northumberland Plate.
Trainer George Scott is considering Prydwen for the race, depending on the horse's form and well-being. He believes the opportunity to run in such a prestigious event is valuable for his owners and horse.
