Aidan O'Brien's primary contenders for the Classic races had a satisfying training session at Leopardstown on Sunday, following a change in plans.
Initially, it was anticipated that the workout would take place at Naas after the races on Sunday, but O'Brien rescheduled it to Leopardstown due to the more favourable ground conditions there.
One of the leading contenders for the 2000 Guineas, City Of Troy, along with two other talented three-year-old colts, Henry Longfellow and Unquestionable, trained together as a group. O'Brien expressed his contentment with their performance, stating that they all worked well and remained closely grouped throughout the workout. They covered a distance of seven and a half furlongs comfortably and displayed positive signs.
The group consisted of City Of Troy, River Tiber, Unquestionable, Diego Velazquez, and Henry Longfellow. O'Brien expressed his satisfaction with all of them and mentioned that they were particularly pleased to have the training session at Leopardstown due to uncertainties about the meeting at Naas
Regarding City Of Troy's participation in the Guineas, O'Brien stated that they would assess the condition of the horses after the workout but currently, the plan is to proceed with a prep run in preparation for the race.
