Notable Speech, the winner of the 2000 Guineas, will face a maximum of 10 rivals at Royal Ascot in the St James's Palace Stakes. This will be his first turf race after a successful hat-trick of wins at Kempton. The form of his previous race has been outstanding, with the second and third-placed horses going on to perform well in other races. Aidan O’Brien has multiple entries in the race, while Mario Baratti’s French Guineas winner Metropolitan has been supplemented for the event.
In the Queen Anne Stakes, last year's runner-up Inspiral will be one of the contestants, along with other top-class contenders. The King Charles III Stakes will see 19 speedsters competing, with Mick Appleby’s Big Evs as the ante-post favourite.
The Coventry Stakes, the first two-year-old race of the week, has attracted 31 initial entries, including top contenders like Cowardofthecounty and Camille Pissarro.
