David Menuisier's three-year-old horse delivered a strong performance last Sunday to finish second behind Los Angeles at the Curragh. With several options for his next race, Menuisier is considering the midsummer highlight at Ascot on July 27, where the horse is currently a 50/1 chance with Sky Bet.
Jockey Oisin Murphy discussed the potential plans for the horse on the Sporting Life Racing Podcast, mentioning the possibility of him being a St Leger contender or running in the King George before that. Murphy believes the horse is well-suited for the King George race due to his preferences for fast ground and a good pace over a mile and a half.
Reflecting on the recent race at the Curragh, Murphy expressed satisfaction with the horse's performance despite just falling short of a win. He praised Ballydoyle's tactics and the even tempo of the race, noting that the horse accelerated well into the straight.
In addition to discussing Menuisier's horse, Murphy also mentioned his excitement about riding other horses such as Queen Of The Pride, Wild Waves, and perhaps Relentless Voyager at Haydock this Saturday.
