Racing at Newbury experienced a delay of over an hour due to a medical incident on the track. Despite this setback, the excitement at Doncaster was palpable as Jockey David Egan skillfully piloted Mr Professor into a favourable position in the race. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Egan made a decisive move, propelling Mr. Professor into the lead and accelerating towards the finish line.
Following Mr Professor, who had odds of 33-1 to claim victory in the one-mile race, were Lattam in second place and Navagio in third. Reflecting on the horse's impressive performance, Egan said, "He's a robust contender. He settled exceptionally well, and I was amazed by his ability to propel us into the race and then shift gears."
Owned by football advisor Kia Joorabchian's Amo Racing, Mr. Professor's victory was a testament to his strength and agility on the track. Last year's winner, Migration, failed to leave the starting gate, while the 5-2 favourite, Chazzesmee, finished fifth.
