David Menuisier is hopeful that Migration can recapture his former brilliance as he aims for consecutive victories in the Lincoln at Doncaster on Saturday.
The experienced gelding displayed a strong finish along the stands' rail to overtake the well-favoured duo Awaal and Baradar and secure a victory at odds of 18-1 last year.
However, he struggled to replicate that performance in his subsequent races, finishing well behind in three competitive contests.
“Obviously, it’s a hard task but he is well, we know he likes the course and he likes to run fresh and he always runs well at this time of the year, so fingers crossed that the stars can align again,” said the trainer.
