McCann's Trust in Familiar Dreams Proven Justified

Riding like the finest steed in the competition, Aine O'Connor piloted Familiar Dreams to victory, as acclaimed trainer Anthony McCann commended her performance. Emerging triumphant in the Bar One Racing 'Bet 10 Get 50 Sign Up Offer' Mares Pro-Am INH Flat Race at Naas, the odds-defying Familiar Dreams (11/1 - 12/1 - 17/2) showcased a stellar display reminiscent of her earlier triumph in Cork.

Throughout the straight, O'Connor expertly maintained her position, fending off formidable challengers from esteemed yards. Despite the looming threats posed by Gavin Cromwell's Sixandahalf and Philip Dempsey's Sansrisk, Familiar Dreams clinched victory by a notable margin, surging ahead of the competition by three and a half lengths and three parts of a length.

McCann expressed his disbelief at the undervaluation of Familiar Dreams by bookmakers, emphasising her exceptional form leading up to the race. Delighted with her recent performance, he hinted at a potential entry in the upcoming mares bumper at Fairyhouse, considering her promising show and relatively light exertion at Naas.

Contemplating her future, McCann acknowledged the possibility of transitioning Familiar Dreams to jumping, unless she garners interest from potential buyers. Despite her young age of five, the imposing mare has shown remarkable potential, a testament to her evolution from a modest start just a year ago. With aspirations for continued success, McCann lauded his dedicated team for their unwavering efforts.

Following the event, the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer conducted a routine examination of Holly Brook, trained by Gordon Elliott, confirming the horse's post-race condition as normal.
