Jerome Reynier's Lazzat, a son of Territories, remains undefeated after winning the Prix Paul de Moussac at ParisLongchamp. This victory marks his fifth consecutive win, following his impressive triumph in the Prix Djebel at Deauville earlier in the season.
Despite a close finish in Paris, Lazzat, ridden by Antonio Orani, managed to fend off Havana Cigar to secure the win. Reynier is now considering sending Lazzat to Goodwood for the Sussex track's summer Festival, following in the footsteps of his previous star, Facteur Cheval.
Reynier expressed his excitement at keeping Lazzat's unbeaten record intact and mentioned the possibility of running him in the Lennox or Sussex Stakes in England or the Prix Maurice de Gheest in France. Although Lazzat is ineligible for the Prix Jean Prat due to being a gelding, Reynier is optimistic about his future prospects.
In addition to potential races in Europe, Lazzat's owner, Nurlan Bizakov, is interested in sending him to Sydney for the Golden Eagle later in the year. However, Reynier emphasised the importance of assessing Lazzat's performance in upcoming races before making any decisions.
In other races at ParisLongchamp, Andre Fabre's Hamavi won the Listed Prix Ridgway, while Maxime Guyon rode Rose Jaipur to victory in the Listed Prix Melisande. The Group Three La Coupe saw an upset with Carlos and Yann Lerner's Calif defeating one-time Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe fourth, Al Hakeem.
