J'adore Chris triumphed in the seven-furlong race

J'adore Chris, heavily supported as the 1/3 favourite (down from 4/7) for Roscommon's Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden, delivered on her third career attempt under jockey Bill Lee.

The Churchill filly, who had finished second in her debut at the same venue in July and again at Killarney last month, travelled well and won by three-quarters of a length from William F Browne.

Trainer Paddy Twomey commented, “She had two solid runs before this and didn’t quite stay the extra distance in Killarney. After a brief break, this race seemed like the right spot. We’re thrilled with the win. Billy noted that seven furlongs is probably her limit for now.

“We might target a winners' race or consider the Ingabelle on Champions Weekend. We might also remove the hood next time; she knows how to race now. She’s also qualified for the Foran final.”
