Half-Sister of Hartnell, Dominetta, Favored for Magic Millions Debut

Australian racing filly Dominetta, trained by Waterhouse/Bott, boasts a familial connection to the notable Godolphin horse, Hartnell, a four-time G1 winner famously associated with Winx, despite losing to her in all eight encounters. Dominetta, a half-sister to Hartnell but a decade younger, begins her racing career in The Debut, a 1000m race with a $500,000 purse for 2YO Magic Millions fillies.

In the betting market, Dominetta is a $4.40 second favorite behind her stablemate Too Darn Lizzie ($2.30). Co-trainer Adrian Bott noted that the difference between them might not be as significant as the odds imply, praising Dominetta's sharpness and early speed. He highlighted her strong lead-up with impressive trial performances.

Irish jockey Declan Bates, who rode Hartnell to his debut win in 2013 at Ffos Las racetrack, will be aboard Jenni's Meadow for the Hayes stable in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast, maintaining his partnership with owner Tony Ottobre, who witnessed Bates claim two Group Ones with Pride Of Jenni during Melbourne Cup week.

The Magic Millions debut of Dominetta carries added significance due to her connection with the accomplished Hartnell, and racing enthusiasts are eager to see if she can establish her racing legacy.
