Aintree Grand National prospects revealed.

Trainer Willie Mullins, renowned for his successful stints at Aintree, has his eye on multiple contenders for the upcoming Grand National. Among his potential stars are Capodanno, I Am Maximus, Janidil, and Asterion Forlonge, each carrying substantial weight. Mullins expressed his excitement, stating,

"Once we scrutinise the weights further, we will solidify our plans for the National. The competition looks promising, and we aim to field strong contenders for the prestigious race."

Reflecting on past victories, Mullins shared his aspirations for another triumph, with fond memories of Hedgehunter's success. He acknowledged the Grand National's global significance, highlighting how the event puts Liverpool on the world stage. Mullins hinted at possible entries for Capodanno and the return of Mr Incredible, who showed promise despite an untimely exit in the previous year's race.

Meanwhile, Sam Waley-Cohen, son of a horse owner and a Grand National-winning jockey, expressed confidence in Noble Yeats's abilities. With trainer Emmet Mullins at the helm, Noble Yeats is set to showcase his skills at Cheltenham before aiming for glory at Aintree. Waley-Cohen reminisced about the thrill of their previous victory and eagerly anticipated another thrilling run with Noble Yeats.

Trainer Jonjo O’Neill also chimed in, discussing Monbeg Genius's readiness for the Premier Chase at Kelso. Despite some setbacks, O’Neill praised Monbeg Genius's form and jumping prowess. However, he pondered whether the horse possesses the necessary class for the Grand National, acknowledging the heightened level of competition in the esteemed race.

Gary Moore, gearing up for his first Grand National appearance, revealed his plans for Nassalam. While Moore wished for a lighter weight allocation, he remained optimistic about Nassalam's prospects. Reflecting on the horse's previous accomplishments, Moore highlighted the importance of securing victories to solidify their National entry. Excited about the new challenge, Moore looks forward to the training journey ahead.

Lastly, trainer John McConnell expressed his delight at Mahler Mission's weight allocation for the Grand National. With the horse showing promise, McConnell looks forward to his first National runner. Mahler Mission's training regime focuses on preparation, with McConnell ruling out a Cheltenham appearance to ensure peak form for the National.
