Cheveley Park Stud will be well-represented in the EBF Stallions John Musker Fillies' Stakes at Yarmouth on Wednesday with the promising duo of Estrange and Regal Jubilee.
Estrange, a Night Of Thunder filly, made a striking debut by winning at Goodwood last month by five and a half lengths for David O'Meara. She steps up to the Listed class for just her second start.
Regal Jubilee, trained by John and Thady Gosden, brings more experience to the field. She has won two of her seven starts and has also secured second place in both Listed and Group Three races.
Cheveley Park’s managing director, Chris Richardson, commented, "Estrange needs to prove herself at this level. We initially sought a novice race for her, but when that didn't materialise, we opted for Yarmouth. With a full field of 16, it’s hard to gauge her true ability right now, but we’ll have a clearer picture after the race."
Regarding Regal Jubilee, Richardson added, "This is a sensible race for her. After a short break, she’s coming back fresh. We’ll assess whether she’s a filly we want to keep in training for next year."
The race features the Ralph Beckett-trained Lady Boba, who has been competitive in the Lester Piggott Stakes and Lancashire Oaks this season, though she was last of nine in the Group One Nassau Stakes last time out.
Also in the mix are the William Haggas-trained Sea Just In Time and Karl Burke’s trio of Molten Rock, Karmology, and Making Dreams, making for a highly competitive contest.
