Henry Dwyer looks ahead to more UK races at Goodwood and York this summer after Australian speedster Asfoora’s victory in the King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Asfoora finished fourth on her UK debut in the Temple Stakes at Haydock last month but stepped up to win the five-furlong Group One at Ascot.
Dwyer celebrated at Ascot and plans to return to Australia soon while Asfoora stays in Europe for the King George Stakes at Goodwood, the Nunthorpe at York, and potentially the Prix d l’Abbaye at ParisLongchamp.
Dwyer said, “We had a big celebration in London after unexpected success at Ascot. Asfoora will rest for two weeks before gearing up for Goodwood, York, and possibly France and America. The Nunthorpe was the goal, but winning the King Charles was a bonus.”
