Downie admitted Lancashire Oaks is not a plan but an option

After securing her first Pattern victory at Newcastle last Friday, star mare Tiffany has left her connections with numerous options to consider for her next race. One potential target is this Saturday’s Lancashire Oaks.

Trained by Sir Mark Prescott, the four-year-old won the Hoppings Fillies’ Stakes by two and a half lengths over Darnation. Tiffany is owned and bred by Elite Racing Club, marking their first major success since Judicial's win at Gosforth Park four years ago.

Rapidly rising through the ranks since her debut at Southwell in December 2022, Tiffany has only been defeated once in her six subsequent races. With German Listed wins under her belt, her connections are now eyeing the Group Two bet365 Lancashire Oaks at Haydock as her next challenge.

Elite Racing Club manager Dan Downie revealed that a final decision on Tiffany's entry will be made in the coming days. However, other possible races on the horizon include the Al Shira’aa Racing Meadow Court Stakes at the Curragh, the Qatar Nassau Stakes at Goodwood, and the Pertemps Network Yorkshire Oaks at York in August.

Downie expressed confidence in Tiffany's abilities and hinted at potential Group One races in her future.
