5:10 Hamilton Park: Rebecca’s Girl
Odds: 9/2
Rebecca’s Girl has shown a strong adaptation since arriving in the UK, delivering three solid performances for trainer Gary Rutherford. The four-year-old filly has developed a successful partnership with 5lb apprentice Amie Waugh, winning at Carlisle on her penultimate start and securing a commendable second at Musselburgh last time out. The application of blinkers has been beneficial, and they are retained for this race. With the same mark as her last run, Rebecca’s Girl looks well-placed to add to her tally.
6:15 Hamilton Park: Conservationist
Odds: 7/1
Conservationist has been highly tested throughout her career, competing in Listed races and top-grade handicaps since her maiden win. This 0-75 fillies' handicap represents a significant drop in class, and based on her recent performance, where she finished fourth despite being 3lb out of the handicap, she is in good form to capitalise here. She has shown promise on soft ground, and the drop back to 6f should suit her well. Conservationist appears poised to hit form for her new yard.
6:45 Hamilton Park: Elforleather
Odds: 3/1
While Something looks like a potential big improver, Elforleather stands out as the solid choice in this race. Trained by Jack Channon, who has had success with soft-ground runners this season, Elforleather has been consistently well-placed. He has proven his stamina for this distance and won over a slightly shorter trip at Windsor last time, finishing strongly. The extra 2lb doesn’t seem likely to hinder him. Elforleather is a strong candidate to complete a hat-trick on soft ground.
