Champions: Full Gallop will be held on Virgin Media One

Starting at 9pm on Sunday, September 15th, on Virgin Media One, the six-part series Champions: Full Gallop takes you inside the world of high-speed racing, where every moment is filled with adrenaline, risk, and drama.

This gripping series delves into the heart of one of the most exhilarating sports on the planet, offering unprecedented access to its major figures, high-stakes players, and key personalities.

Viewers will experience:

- An intimate look inside the weighing room.

- The reason millionaire banker and racehorse owner Rich Ricci keeps his investments a closely guarded secret.

- Paul Nicholls’ unfiltered reaction when his former protégé, Dan Skelton, takes him on.

- Behind-the-scenes antics and mind games during the biggest festival of the year.

- A unique glimpse into the deep bond between Dan Skelton and his brother, jockey Harry Skelton.

- How Willie Mullins has influenced British racing.

- A close-up of Nico de Boinville’s personal life and his thoughts when he’s on the turf.

Champions: Full Gallop offers a backstage pass to the lives of jockeys and trainers during the 2023-24 Jumps season, capturing the essence of racing from the risk of riding 500kg thoroughbreds over fences to the dedication of owners, from syndicates to royalty, and the commitment of trainers and stable staff.

Produced by South Shore and supported by Flutter and Racecourse Media Group (RMG), the show provides an all-access experience, following the high-octane thrills, emotions, and drama both on and off the racetrack.

The series features exclusive interviews with jockeys Harry Skelton, Harry Cobden, and Sean Bowen, detailing their quest for the Champion Jockey title, as well as 14-time British champion trainer Paul Nicholls’ battle to defend his crown against his former assistant, Dan Skelton, and the looming presence of Willie Mullins.

Champions: Full Gallop offers a fresh perspective on racing, revealing the sport like never before.

"Injuries are part of the game. It’s not a matter of if, but when." - Nico de Boinville.

"There’s good banter with the other jockeys. When you’re doing something like we do, where ambulances follow you around, you can’t be too serious." - Gavin Sheehan.

"If you ask Sir Alex Ferguson about all his years at Man United, he’ll tell you it was all about winning." - Paul Nicholls.

"He (Frodon) always held me tight, and for that, I owe him everything." - Bryony Frost.
