Brighterdaysahead is poised to make her highly-anticipated return this weekend in the prestigious Apple's Jade Mares Novice Hurdle at Navan.
Having taken a brief respite, this undefeated prodigy hailing from the bloodline of Kapgarde last mesmerised racing enthusiasts with a commanding triumph in a Grade 3 spectacle at Down Royal back in November. As the weekend unfolds, aficionados will witness Brighterdaysahead's exceptional skills in action during the noteworthy Listed contest, which serves as a crucial stepping stone towards the grandeur of the Cheltenham. The Mares Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham is already abuzz with speculation about her chances, as she has emerged as an influential figure in the betting realm.
“This has been the plan and it looks like an ideal race on our way to Cheltenham. We think she's a very good mare and we're looking forward to running her,”
commented Gordon Elliott, the mare’s trainer.
“She's a big mare and we're minding her so we'll go here and then straight on to Cheltenham all being well.”
It is worth mentioning that Brighterdaysahead shares her lineage with Caldwell Potter, a recent acquisition valued at a staggering €740,000, as well as the ill-fated Mighty Potter, a remarkable Grade 1 champion who met an untimely demise.
