After a strong second-place finish in the Surrey Stakes, Native American is set to make his Royal Ascot debut alongside Haatem in the Jersey Stakes, both owned by Wathnan Racing.
Trained by Richard Fahey, Native American showed promise as a juvenile, winning a valuable sales race at the Curragh and competing in Group One company on Arc day.
Though his performance was lacklustre in the Feilden Stakes when stepping up in distance, he returned to form at Epsom, where he narrowly lost to evade in a Listed event.
Looking ahead to Royal Ascot, Fahey is optimistic about his colt's chances on the stiffer straight track. He believes Native American's long-striding, grinder style will better suit the seven-furlong distance at Ascot compared to the pacey Evade.
Fahey expressed satisfaction with Native American's performance at Epsom and is confident in his abilities for the Jersey Stakes at the prestigious Royal meeting.
