Anshoda will race for new connections in the William Hill Prestige Fillies’ Stakes at Goodwood later this month.
Previously trained by David Loughnane and owned by Nawaf Almutairi, Anshoda won at 33-1 on debut at Lingfield and then finished strongly in the Star Stakes at Sandown, despite being a 66-1 outsider. She will now run for Team Valor International and Gary Barber, who have previously enjoyed success with horses like Facteur Cheval.
Impressed by her performance at Sandown, Anshoda’s new owners are eager to see the daughter of Inns Of Court compete at Group Three level on the Sussex Downs. She will remain under the training of David Loughnane at his Shropshire base.
Barry Irwin, CEO of Team Valor International, announced that Anshoda is set to run in the Prestige Stakes at Goodwood on August 24. He was impressed by how she navigated being boxed in at Sandown, then moved to the outside to finish strongly. Irwin described her as a very progressive horse and expressed satisfaction with keeping her under the guidance of David Loughnane, whom he considers a sharp trainer.
