Cheveley Park Stud appears to have two promising juvenile fillies in the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Anna Swan and Formal.
Formal, a Dubawi daughter out of the Group One-winning Cheveley Park homebred Veracious, made an impressive debut at Newbury last month, defeating the heavily favoured Glistening with ease.
Her stablemate, Anna Swan, by Almanzor and out-of-the-black-type performer Vivionn, arguably made an even stronger impression on her debut at Yarmouth last week. Although no firm plans have been set for either filly, their connections are enthusiastic about their potential.
Chris Richardson, managing director at Cheveley Park, commented, “I’m not sure what Anna Swan beat, but she couldn’t have done it more effortlessly. Both fillies have shown great promise—Formal also won well for us. We’re excited about their future and will review their entries. Sir Michael will be patient and bring them along gradually. Their performances were very eye-catching, and we’re thrilled to have them both.”
