A significant day for Power

Thedancingfarrier galloped to victory, granting Alice Power her inaugural triumph in the Longines Fegentri World Championship (QR) Handicap Hurdle at Cork this afternoon. During the three-mile race, Ivane appeared to take a decisive lead as they approached the third-to-last hurdle.

However, Thedancingfarrier and Likable Chancer caught up with Ivane at the final hurdle, and the talented gelding trained by Paul Kiely displayed great stamina down the home stretch, securing a one-and-three-quarter-length triumph over Ivane.

This 12/1 underdog has now clinched his third victory on this track, having previously won in three point-to-point races at this venue.

Alice Power expressed her delight after the race, stating: "I'm delighted and a huge thanks to Paul who is very good to me. He did it with a bit in hand, loves Cork and it is great.”
